Crunchyroll's Ani-May sale is underway, and the promo offers a rare deal on two of the anime-focused streaming service's plans. The latest Crunchyroll deal knocks up to 80% off your first three months of service.
Crunchyroll's monthly Fan and Mega Fan plans are on sale as part of the service's Ani-May celebration. The new deal knocks Crunchyroll's base Fan monthly plan down to just $2 a month for three months (down from the standard $10 a month), and the Mega Fan plan down to just $3 a month for three months (down from the standard $13 a month). The deal, available for select new and returning subscribers, runs until May 21, 2026.
We don't often see deals available at Crunchyroll. The anime streamer, which ranks among the best streaming services we've evaluated, rarely lowers its prices. Typically, the best way to save is by opting for an annual plan. Given the relative rarity of the deal, it's a good time to sign up for Crunchyroll if you've been thinking about getting a subscription.
A base Fan subscription comes with no ads, total access to the Crunchyroll library, and new episodes soon after they air in Japan.
In addition to no ads and total content access, Mega Fans can stream on up to four devices and access the Crunchyroll Game Vault, among other perks.
FAQ
Are there other Crunchyroll plans?
There's a third, higher tier of Crunchyroll called Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan. This plan isn't part of the Ani-May promo, so you'll be paying full price if you sign up. Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan costs $18 a month.
How much do Crunchyroll annual plans cost?
Crunchyroll's annual plans aren't part of the Ani-May deal, so if you sign up for one of those, you'll be paying full price. That said, the annual plans still offer savings year over year compared to what you'd spend if you paid for 12 full months of monthly subscriptions. Crunchyroll Fan costs $100 a year, Crunchyroll Mega Fan costs $140 a year, and Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan costs $180 a year.
What's on Crunchyroll?
If you're an anime fan in the US, Crunchyroll is a must-have streaming service. While Netflix and a few other streamers have begun to pick up select anime programming, Crunchyroll offers the most comprehensive anime catalog in one place. The streaming service gets new episodes of your favorite anime shortly after they air in Japan, so you can get caught up on programming like "One Piece" and "Demon Slayer" at your leisure.
