Stephen Colbert's final show has arrived, and there are a few different ways to tune in. We'll show you how to watch the final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, including live streaming options for cord-cutters.

CBS will air Colbert's final episode tonight, after the surprising announcement last year that the network would be bringing The Late Show to an end. Colbert took over The Late Show in 2015 after David Letterman's retirement, and the late-night host has led the series for over a decade, developing a reputation for his thoughtful celebrity interviews and acerbic opening monologues. Fans can live stream the final episode through Paramount Plus Premium, or via one of the live TV streaming services we've highlighted below.

What channel is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on?

The final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will air on CBS on Thursday at 11:35 p.m. ET.

How to watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the US

The cheapest way to live stream CBS in the US is through Paramount Plus. You'll need a Premium subscription to unlock CBS live streaming. Paramount Plus Premium costs $14 a month and also unlocks ad-free on-demand content and Showtime programming.

Paramount Plus offers a huge library of on-demand content from Paramount, CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, and MTV. The Premium Plan also includes Showtime and live CBS streaming. More importantly, it removes ads from the on-demand streaming library.

If you'd prefer a streaming service with a free trial and additional channels beyond CBS, one of the best live TV streaming services might be of interest. DirecTV and Fubo are two of the best services we've tested that carry CBS.

DirecTV offers CBS across all of its Signature plans, as well as some of its genre packs (though it's worth double-checking that the network is available in your ZIP code since local channels sometimes vary by market). At $40 a month, MyNews is the cheapest of the bunch. New users can get $5 a month off their first two months of service after a five-day free trial.

Fubo carries CBS in its Sports + News, Pro, and Elite plans. Subscriptions start at $56 a month for Sports + News, but you can get $10 off your first month after a five-day free trial.

How to watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert from anywhere

If you're traveling abroad and want to keep up with your usual watch options, you can do so with the help of a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are handy tech tools that let people temporarily change their virtual locations. This way, apps and websites work exactly like they would back home. The services we've recommended require US methods of payment, so this option will work best for Americans who are simply traveling away from home.

NordVPN is one of the best VPNs we've tested. It's fast, user-friendly (even for beginners), and has a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee if you find that it's not what you're looking for.

NordVPN is top of the pile of the best VPN services. It offers excellent value, with a strong feature set and a low monthly price. A wide selection of international servers, high-end security, fast connections, and audited privacy protection have made the brand a household name in the world of VPNs for a reason.

How long is the final episode?

The final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be a little bit longer than the standard hourlong time slot, with CBS advertising an extended series finale. We took a peek at the TV guide, and CBS has the episode blocked out until around 12:54 a.m. ET.

Who are the guests on the final episode?

Any guests for tonight's show have been kept tightly under wraps, but this week's episodes have featured a star-studded lineup, so we wouldn't be surprised to see some notable appearances.

Who is replacing Stephen Colbert?

No one is on tap to replace Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. Instead, the series is coming to an end. Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed will take over the time slot.

Are other late shows airing tonight?

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on NBC and Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC, late-night talk shows that occupy the same time slot as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, won't air new episodes tonight in honor of Colbert.
