It's the third day of Prime Day, and a great time to score big on pet supplies and gear. Many of the top Prime Day pet deals are on items that I have not only personally tested but also use in my day-to-day life, including one of my favorite automatic cat feeders: the Petlibro Granary Smart Camera Feeder. It has dropped by 35% to its lowest price ever, only the second time it's hit this all-time low.

If you've been on the fence about upgrading your pet's feeding setup, this is the moment. I've tested several automatic feeders for Business Insider's guide to the best cat feeders, and this is the only model I've used that combines precise scheduled feeding with a built-in wide-angle camera. It also has a tamper-proof lid that not even my toddler or my polydactyl, food-obsessed cat can break into.

This is a smart buy for pet parents who travel or work long hours and want scheduled meals plus real-time monitoring — without buying two separate devices. And while there are solid Prime Day pet camera deals out there, why buy both when this does it all?

Why we love it

The wide-angle lens lets you see more than just the feeder. The 1080p HD, 145-degree field of view covers most of a room, which means you're getting more than a close-up of a food bowl. I've strategically positioned mine so I can view my Feeder Robot (a great feeder that lacks a camera), and I still have a view of most of my dining room, where my cats are often lounging.

It fits your schedule — or more importantly, your cat's. Some cats do fine with two meals a day; others need smaller, more frequent feedings throughout. The Granary accommodates both, with portions as small as 1/12 cup (about a tablespoon) per feeding and up to 10 scheduled meals daily that can repeat on your selected days.

You can make adjustments on the go. Using the Petlibro companion app, you can dispense a meal in real time or adjust the feeding schedule from anywhere. I use this when we have a house sitter, and they realize they'll be out past dinner, so no meals are ever missed.

Night vision means you're never left in the dark. The infrared night vision lets you check in on your cats at any hour without turning on a light. As a self-described helicopter pet parent, seeing my cats happily snoozing at 2 a.m. helps me sleep better.

It has a large capacity and keeps food fresh. The Granary holds up to 32 cups of dry food, and the tightly sealed lid and included desiccant pack help keep kibble fresh for longer.

The twist-off lid is genuinely cat- and toddler-proof. I've used the Granary for about four years, and in that time, my cats have never once broken into it. Neither has my toddler, who would absolutely eat cat food given the chance.

It keeps feeding even during a power outage. Install backup batteries, and the Granary will continue dispensing meals on schedule even if the power and WiFi go out. D batteries are not included, but I found a great Prime Day deal on those, too.

Whether you need a feeder without a camera, a smart RFID model for two cats eating different diets, or a cat water fountain, PetLibro has options on sale across the board right now — making it a smart time to outfit your home.

I am a freelance reporter for Business Insider’s Reviews team, covering pets and home. For each article, I conduct in-depth research, consult experts, develop comprehensive testing methodologies, and test products in my own home, including with my two cats.My areas of expertiseMy main area of expertise is in pet care, with a specific focus on cats. As a lifelong cat guardian, I aim to help readers better understand their felines so they can provide the best possible care. My two cats are featured throughout the tested guides I’ve written, serving as both inspiration and quality control: If it’s not good enough for them, it’s not good enough to recommend. My own chickens even made a cameo in my guide to the best chicken feed. My experienceI joined Business Insider as a freelance reporter in 2023, after first being interviewed about my experience hiking with cats, a journey that feels full circle and deeply humbling. Whether it’s a water fountain for cats or a towel warmer in my daughter’s bathroom, every recommendation undergoes rigorous, science-based testing and research informed by expert insights from veterinarians, animal behaviorists, regulatory agencies, safety experts, and beyond.
